In politics, good intentions don’t earn you gold stars. Those who naively enter the field with the thought of „making a positive change“ often experience their first painful deflowering sooner than expected. Idealism is treated in party headquarters like a plate of stale bread at a banquet – it’s well-intentioned, but nobody really wants it.

True professionals know: politics is not played with roses but with daggers. Promises are worth about as much as Monopoly money, and a handshake can turn into a stab in the back faster than you can say „coalition agreement.“ Those who want to survive here need not only thick skin but also the ruthlessness of an investment banker and the rhetorical flexibility of a vacuum cleaner salesman. In short: anyone still „innocent“ in politics will either be quickly corrupted – or end up on the sidelines by the next election.
